ITT Mozal 3 February 2007
The 2007 season kicked off quite well with a South wind at 11km/hr as riders were launched at 3 minute intervals.
Newcomer Paulo Saimon was the first off posting a time of 00:41:25. Joao Antonio followed with a time of 00:36:55, earning a fifth place. Rui set a time of 00:36:25 for fourth place beating his recorded best at this event last year of 00:37:03.
Vicente showed a huge improvement on the route and set a time of 00:35:35 compared to 00:39:20 last year and claimed second place.
Carlos Sales took third with 00:35:41.
Alvaro Alves (Zeca) was off next to defend his 2006 Championship. Alvaro set the second fastest time on the route with 00:33:23 and took first position.
James Leggatt still holds the record for the fastest ITT on the route with a time of 00:32:54 set on 18/12/2004.
The defending Time Trial Champion (Imran Akuji) was the last off and posted a time 00:39:20. His recorded personal best on route set in 2004 was 00:34:39
